About the role#
The Broadcast Studio Student Assistant supports the daily operations of the Chatham University Broadcast Studio. You will assist students, faculty, and staff with the rental and use of production equipment. This role is suited for students who are organized and want hands-on experience in a studio setting.
What you'll do#
- Manage the check-in and check-out process for equipment using rental software.
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, and staff.
- Track, document, and coordinate repairs for damaged or malfunctioning gear.
- Maintain studio cleanliness and organization to ensure the space is ready for classes and projects.
- Enforce studio policies and procedures.
- Conduct inventory and assist with general equipment upkeep.
- Perform light administrative tasks as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or equivalent.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate clearly and work well with others.
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently.
- An interest in film, television, or technology is helpful but not required.

- Eligibility: Open to students in Communications, Media Studies, Graphic Design, Business Administration, or Psychology.
- Note: Students may not work more than 20 hours per week combined across all campus jobs during the academic year.
