About the role#
As an Agronomy Operations intern, you will gain hands-on experience in the farming industry. You will work alongside professionals to learn essential skills and support daily operations. This is a paid, full-time internship based in Wagner, South Dakota, covering the Winter and Summer 2027 terms.
What you'll do#
- Learn general agronomy skills including crop scouting, product application, and mixing procedures.
- Handle seed and agronomy operations while monitoring inventory quality.
- Maintain records and keep work areas clean.
- Assist with repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment like sprayers, trucks, conveyors, and floaters.
- Drive trucks and deliver products to customers.
- Provide customer service and ensure all work follows safety and environmental policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Ag Business, Crop Science, or related agriculture degree program.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
- An agriculture background or previous internship experience is helpful.
