About the role#
This is a 10-week summer internship program for students interested in software engineering within the banking industry. You will work alongside software engineers on various projects to build technical skills and gain experience in an enterprise environment. The program includes mentorship, professional development workshops, and networking opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and implement technology solutions while learning modern engineering practices.
- Maintain and enhance iOS and Android applications.
- Build services that support multiple data formats and enable system integration.
- Contribute to a microservices framework.
- Research requirements, maintain documentation, and create progress reports.
- Identify issues and patterns to improve system quality and standard operating procedures.
- Share recommendations for application improvements.
- Apply modern software development practices, including the use of AI-assisted development tools to support productivity and code quality.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or a related field with an expected graduation date of May 2028.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Practical experience building software using Java, JavaScript, C/C++, Go, Swift, Python.NET, Node.js, or React.
- Ability to complete a video interview assessment within 4 days of receiving the link.
- Previous professional exposure to software development is preferred.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.
- Interest in applying technology to solve business challenges in the financial services industry.
- Permanent work authorization in the United States is required. This position does not offer visa sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Locations: Johnston, RI; Phoenix, AZ; or Plano, TX.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm.
- Term: Summer 2027, beginning in late May.
