About the role#
As a Software Engineer Intern at CNH, you will design, develop, and maintain software systems. You will apply engineering principles to create solutions ranging from individual applications to large-scale systems. This role involves coding, testing, debugging, and ensuring software is efficient and user-friendly. You will work both independently and within a team to support our engineering goals.
What you'll do#
- Write, develop, evaluate, and document new or modified software programs.
- Test and prepare software applications for installation.
- Provide business support to analyze software and support end users through troubleshooting and training.
- Research and select technical data for assigned projects.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to communicate data relative to engineering requirements.
- Manage software assets, including maintenance contracts.
- Prepare and present technical reports and recommendations on projects.
- Participate in department improvement activities and support company culture.
- Learn, understand, and promote the quality management system in accordance with ISO standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong problem analysis and problem-solving techniques.
- Proficiency with C++ and Rust.
- Comfort with Python, Bash, and web technologies.
- Background in robotics, control systems, or real-time embedded software.
- A natural curiosity about how complex systems work and a drive to improve them.
- Ability to write and communicate clearly across engineering disciplines.
- A collaborative mindset that takes feedback well.
- Good judgment when using AI tools.

- Location: Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week).
- Term: Rolling.
- Compensation: Paid internship with an annual salary range of CAD $22.66 to $31.93.
