About the role#
We are looking for a Full-Stack Developer Co-op to join our Development Center in Kitchener. You will work within a team of full-time employees and students to solve business problems using software technology. You will take ownership of a specific business problem or idea and drive it to completion. This role operates in a hybrid environment.
What you'll do#
- Build solutions using front-end and back-end technologies, including NodeJS, ReactJS, Typescript, Express, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
- Participate in end-to-end testing of software using tools like CucumberJS and Puppeteer.
- Apply DevOps practices as part of your daily development workflow.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver on goals and support peer projects.
- Document your work and manage source code so future developers can expand on your progress.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a university co-op or internship program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Mathematics.
- Experience experimenting with new software development tools and technologies.
- Strong analytical, conceptualization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into simple language.
- Solid documentation and source code management skills.
- A willingness to try new approaches and learn from mistakes.
