About the role#
Dewberry is hiring a Water Resources Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This position is based in our Virginia Beach, Virginia office and requires on-site attendance. You will gain hands-on experience by working on real projects and applying your classroom knowledge to professional engineering challenges.
What you'll do#
- Work on water resources engineering projects.
- Assist with water quality and wastewater modeling tasks.
- Participate in drainage design and stormwater management projects.
- Collaborate with team members to solve engineering challenges.
- Engage in professional development workshops and networking opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Knowledge of water quality and wastewater modeling.
- Knowledge of floodplain delineation, stormwater management, and drainage design.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office software.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.

- Compensation: Paid internship ($18.75 to $29.75 per hour).
