About the role#
The CG-2001 Teaching Assistant supports the instructor and students in the 3D Digital Art course. This role involves assisting with classroom activities, providing technical guidance, and helping students navigate 3D art workflows. You will work 6 to 9 hours per week during the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Attend the scheduled CG-2001 class on Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 11:50 a.m. to assist with lectures and lab activities.
- Provide individual help to students during lab time and answer questions about assignments.
- Troubleshoot technical and workflow issues related to the course.
- Hold two scheduled TA sessions per week outside of class hours.
- Give the instructor weekly feedback on student progress and common difficulties.
- Assist with classroom setup, including equipment and course materials.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
- Successful completion of CG-2001 or equivalent coursework with a grade of B or better.
- Working knowledge of 3D modeling and digital art tools, specifically Maya and Substance 3D Painter.
- Ability to explain technical and artistic concepts clearly to other students.
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability and the ability to attend all scheduled classes and TA sessions.
- Good academic standing with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
Location & details#
- Location: Redmond, Washington.
- Term: Fall 2026 (August 31 to December 13).
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $17.13 to $18.25 per hour, based on experience at DigiPen.
- Requirements: Must reside within Washington state. You may not work during any time you have a scheduled class.
