    About the role#

    DigiPen Institute of Technology is hiring a Student Teaching Assistant for the Fall 2026 term for DES-270-B User Research I. This position supports instructor Joshua Savage by assisting with classroom operations, grading, and student mentorship. You will work 15 hours per week from August 31 to December 3, 2026.

    What you'll do#

    • Grade student work and provide assignment feedback to the instructor.
    • Assist students during labs and published office hours, including online meetings if needed.
    • Help with classroom tasks such as equipment setup, running slide decks, and facilitating presentations.
    • Deliver graded assignments on time while maintaining clear and consistent standards.
    • Meet weekly with the instructor to discuss performance and duties.

    What you'll need#

    • Current matriculated student status at DigiPen with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
    • Successful completion of DES-270 with a grade of B or better.
    • Proven proficiency with the course material and the ability to work independently.
    • A positive attitude and a willingness to help fellow students excel.
    • Strong communication skills and comfort interacting with students as a mentor.
    • Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to focus during work hours.
    • Access to a laptop during course time.

    Location & details#

    • This role is on-site in Redmond, Washington. You must reside within the State of Washington to be eligible.
    • Students cannot work during any time they have a scheduled class.
    • The pay range is $17.13 to $18.25 per hour, based on the number of terms worked at DigiPen.
    • Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform tasks such as carrying, pushing, or crouching.
