    About the role#

    This is a part-time student teaching assistant position for the Game Project I course (PRJ-2000-A) at DigiPen Institute of Technology. You will support second-year students as they navigate game development projects and Unreal Engine fundamentals. This role spans the Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 terms. You will work 11 to 13 hours per week.

    What you'll do#

    • Support student teams with project organization, decision-making, and interpersonal dynamics during weekly labs.
    • Attend scheduled lectures and labs on Tuesdays from 2:00 p.m. to 3:50 p.m. and Fridays from 1:00 p.m. to 5:50 p.m.
    • Assist instructors with classroom setup and teardown, including moving tables and chairs, for 20 minutes before and after each class.
    • Provide regular status updates to faculty regarding student development and challenges.
    • Help instructors run feedback sessions and provide grading support.
    • Monitor student well-being and promote a healthy work-life balance.
    • Meet with students outside of scheduled class hours as needed.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment as a student at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
    • A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 and Good Academic Standing.
    • Successful completion of PRJ-2000/2050 or equivalent courses.
    • Foundational knowledge of Unreal Engine and core game development practices.
    • Ability to communicate constructively with students and faculty.
    • Understanding of source control workflows like SVN or Perforce.
    • Familiarity with project management tools such as Microsoft Teams, Notion, Figma, or Trello.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Redmond, Washington, USA.
    • Modality: On-site only. You must reside in Washington State.
    • Employment dates: August 31, 2026, to April 24, 2027.
    • Compensation: $17.13 to $18.25 per hour, based on your number of terms worked at DigiPen.
    • Note: You cannot work during times when you have a scheduled class.
