About the role#
DigiPen Institute of Technology is seeking a Student Teaching Assistant for the Fall 2026 course DES-205-A Game History. This position involves assisting the instructor with classroom operations, supporting student learning, and providing feedback on course work. You will work 5 to 10 hours per week from August 31 to December 4, 2026.
What you'll do#
- Assist with room setup at the start and end of each class.
- Consult with the instructor on course content, assignments, and student progression.
- Help students with questions regarding lecture or lab material.
- Provide constructive feedback to students on their work.
- Meet with students online if required.
- Support the instructor with tasks such as equipment operation and administrative duties.
What you'll need#
- Proven proficiency with the course material and a grade of B or better in DES-205.
- Full availability to attend all lectures and labs, specifically Tuesdays from 12:00 to 1:20 p.m. and Fridays from 10:00 to 11:50 a.m.
- Access to a laptop during course time.
- Ability to work independently and interact with students in a mentorship capacity.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to help others succeed.
- Current status as a matriculated student at DigiPen with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
Location & details#
- Location: Redmond, Washington.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Pay: $17.13 to $18.25 per hour, based on previous terms worked at DigiPen.
- Requirements: You must reside within the State of Washington and be in good academic standing.
