About the role#
This position is for a Student Teaching Assistant for CS-115 during the Fall 2026 term. You will work under the supervision of the instructor, Pushpak Karnick, to support classroom operations and student learning. This is a paid, part-time role requiring 6 hours of work per week. The term runs from August 31 to December 15, 2026.
What you'll do#
- Assist the instructor with classroom setup and equipment operation.
- Facilitate student presentations and guide lab sessions.
- Answer student questions in class and during office hours.
- Grade assessments outside of the classroom.
- Submit attendance records and track your own hours worked.
- Meet weekly with the instructor for feedback.
What you'll need#
- You must be a currently matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
- You need a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 and must be in good academic standing.
- Proven proficiency in the course material is required, specifically having passed CS-115, CS-116, or CS-232 with a grade of B or better.
- Ability to work independently and mentor other students.
- A positive attitude toward learning and helping others.
Location & details#
- This position is located on-site in Redmond, Washington. You must reside in Washington state to be eligible.
- Class times are Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:50 p.m. You cannot work during your own scheduled class times.
- The pay range is $17.13 to $18.25 per hour, based on your previous terms worked at the institution.
- Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform tasks involving sitting, walking, or standing.
