About the role#
The Computer Science department is hiring a Teaching Assistant for CS-370 Computer Imaging for the Fall 2026 term. This is a paid, on-site position based in Redmond, Washington. You will report to Bilas Talukdar and assist with course administration and student support.
What you'll do#
- Help students work through programming assignments and debug their code.
- Host office hours or lab support sessions.
- Grade quizzes, exams, projects, and assignments using provided rubrics.
- Explain complex image-processing concepts to students.
- Support course administration and final project presentations.
- Track and report your hours worked accurately.
What you'll need#
- You must be a current graduate or advanced undergraduate student in Computer Science or a related field at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
- You must have previously completed CS-370 or CS-570 at this institution with a grade of B or better.
- Strong programming skills in C, C++, or Python are required.
- You need a solid grasp of image processing, such as filtering, histograms, Fourier transforms, interpolation, and noise reduction.
- You must be in good academic standing with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and debug code effectively.
- Preferred experience includes previous tutoring or TA work, as well as familiarity with libraries like OpenCV, NumPy, or SciPy.
Location & details#
- Location: Redmond, Washington. You must reside in Washington to perform this work.
- Term: August 31, 2026, to December 15, 2026.
- Hours: 20 hours per week.
- Pay: $17.13 to $18.25 per hour, based on your previous terms worked at DigiPen.
- Note: You cannot work during any time you are scheduled for a class.
