About the role#
As a Venture Capital Analyst Intern, you will work with the investment team to research investment themes and opportunities from early stage to growth. You will gain exposure to private company investing and evaluate opportunities across the financial technology sector. This role involves completing a wide-ranging research project alongside your daily responsibilities. You will receive mentorship and participate in educational and social activities throughout your time with the team.
What you'll do#
- Underwrite and evaluate investments based on risk and return fundamentals.
- Research key themes and investment opportunities.
- Assist with deal structuring and the evaluation of term sheets, including modeling deal economics in Excel.
- Prepare discounted cash flow, competitive market, and development model analyses.
- Join meetings with current and pipeline company management teams and co-investors.
- Assist in the preparation of pitch decks for pipeline opportunities and follow-on investments.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, economics, accounting, or liberal arts, with a graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- A minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent.
- Excellent behavioral and communication skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint and Excel.
- An interest in pursuing personal and professional growth.
