About the role#
As a Software Developer Intern, you will join a team supporting our network development or trading businesses. You will work on projects that range from building advanced trading, analysis, and risk applications to creating monitoring and automation systems. You will develop computationally intensive software under the guidance of senior technologists, with the goal of deploying your work during the internship. This is a paid, full-time position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, test, and deploy proprietary software solutions across the firm.
- Identify innovative solutions to complex problems and communicate your ideas clearly to your team.
- Conduct research using a data-driven approach to perform statistical analytics on large data sets.
- Collaborate with software developers, quantitative traders, researchers, and business analysts in cross-functional environments.
- Participate in an options course taught by an experienced trader and a technology immersion course.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor's, master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.
- Excellent software development skills in at least one programming language, such as Python, JavaScript, C++, Ruby, C#, Go, or Java.
- Exposure to multi-threaded applications, computational intelligence, algorithms, real-time programming, or GUI programming.
- A deep curiosity to learn and absorb new technologies quickly.
