About the role#
As an FPGA Intern, you will work on proprietary trading applications. You will work under the guidance of senior technologists to develop a functional FPGA application during your ten weeks. Your work will directly support our trading operations.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, test, and deploy proprietary FPGA solutions.
- Create decoders to receive raw packet data and translate it into accessible formats.
- Identify solutions to complex technical problems and communicate them to your team.
- Conduct research to determine the best technical approach for your project.
- Collaborate with software developers, quantitative traders, and researchers.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Machine Learning, or a related science discipline.
- Exposure to the FPGA development flow.
- Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- Development skills in System Verilog, Verilog, or VHDL.
- Working knowledge of C++ or Python.

- This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in Chicago, Illinois.
- The term for this position is Summer 2026.
