About the role#
As a Software Developer Intern, you will build trading and risk applications. You will work under the guidance of senior technologists to develop software for deployment during your ten weeks. The role involves working on projects that drive firm progress.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, test, and deploy proprietary software solutions.
- Create decoders to receive raw packet data from exchanges.
- Normalize decoded data to build a book for traded instruments.
- Conduct research using a data-driven approach.
- Collaborate with other software developers and analysts in cross-functional teams.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related science discipline.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.
- Excellent software development skills in C++, Python, or Java.
- Exposure to network programming (TCP/IP) and multi-threaded applications.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical reasoning skills.
