About the role#
This is a paid, part-time position for the Fall 2026 term. You will work on-site in Pittsburgh to support child care services for children between the ages of 6 weeks and 5 years. This role requires Federal Work-Study eligibility.
What you'll do#
You will provide direct services to children and their families. Your daily tasks include:
- Assisting with the supervision of children.
- Helping to deliver the program curriculum.
- Interacting with parents to ensure a positive community experience.
- Maintaining a high standard of care based on YMCA core values.
What you'll need#
- Prior experience working with children.
- Ability to lift children and equipment as needed.
- Completion of a physical exam, TB tests, and all required background clearances.
- Enrollment in majors such as Psychology, Nursing, Public Health, Nutrition, or Kinesiology is preferred.
Location & details#
This role is located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. You must be able to work on-site for the duration of the Fall 2026 term. Additional training will be provided by the center.
