About the role#
Duquesne University is hiring tutors for the Fall 2026 term. This is a paid position for students who qualify for federal work-study. You will work directly with local schools and community programs to support students.
What you'll do#
- Provide academic support to elementary, middle, and senior high school students.
- Help students with their schoolwork at local schools or community centers.
- Attend training sessions provided by DUV and community partners to prepare for your sessions.
What you'll need#
- Current federal work-study eligibility.
- Availability to work up to 11 hours per week.
- Consistent availability between 3pm and 6pm, Monday through Friday.
- Interest in working with children.
- Enrollment in majors such as Psychology, Sociology, Communications, or English.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
- The work is on-site at local schools and community programs.
- This is a part-time position.
