About the role#
Join the New Product Development team in Marshalltown, Iowa. You will work with experienced firmware, electrical, and mechanical engineers to build next-generation intelligent electric actuators. This co-op role offers hands-on experience with embedded software development, automation workflows, and hardware bring-up activities from concept through validation.
What you'll do#
- Develop and enhance firmware build automation and toolchains.
- Create CI workflows and automated testing solutions.
- Develop firmware for next-generation actuator platforms.
- Debug firmware and support hardware bring-up activities.
- Assist with BSP, driver, and application software development.
- Participate in product validation and testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Experience or coursework in embedded systems development.
- Familiarity with C/C++ programming.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation, schematics, and data sheets.
- Exposure to software development processes, version control, and debugging tools.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
