    About the role#

    Emerson is hiring a Software Engineering Intern to join our team in Minnesota. You will work on measurement and analytical instrumentation projects. This is a paid, full-time position requiring 40 hours per week. The role is on-site at our facilities in Shakopee, Eden Prairie, or Chanhassen.

    What you'll do#

    • Design and develop embedded firmware.
    • Troubleshoot and debug software using unit tests, emulators, simulators, IDEs, and bench testing.
    • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to understand firmware requirements.
    • Perform functional integration testing before handing off work to the test and evaluation team.
    • Conduct software design reviews for assigned projects.
    • Prepare detailed plans for completing assignments.
    • Provide process improvement recommendations.

    What you'll need#

    • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering, specifically Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
    • Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) in-person.
    • Legal authorization to work in the United States. Please note that sponsorship is not provided for this position.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • Term: Rolling.
    • Compensation: $24-$28 per hour, depending on year in school and experience.
