About the role#
This is a six-month Solutions Engineering Co-Op position based in Billerica, Massachusetts, for the Winter 2027 term. You will work with the LMC Solutions Engineering team to solve customer challenges and support the adoption of new technologies. This role provides exposure to R&D, product management, and commercial operations within the semiconductor industry.
What you'll do#
- Support customer-focused technical projects and strategic initiatives.
- Perform hands-on laboratory work, including failure analyses and fundamental studies.
- Develop and conduct experiments to generate data.
- Analyze manufacturing and customer data to identify trends.
- Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations for stakeholders.
- Prepare technical documentation and customer-facing materials.
- Conduct market research and competitive assessments.
- Improve internal workflows and knowledge management systems.
- Lead a defined workstream or project and present findings to the team.
- Collaborate with Product Engineering, Applications, Manufacturing, and Commercial teams.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a student in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Biomedical, or a related engineering discipline.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in an experimental laboratory setting, including wet chemistries.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple assignments at once.
- Willingness to work with ambiguity and take ownership of projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from January through June.
- Experience or knowledge related to the semiconductor industry is an asset.
- Experience with design of experiments and analysis is preferred.
