About the role#
Epic Games is hiring a Game Design Intern to join the Rocket League team. This role offers the chance to work alongside developers, artists, and engineers to support the future of the game. You will take on projects throughout your term and contribute to the development cycle of a major title.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the ideation and implementation of new challenges.
- Assist in the development, balance, and delivery of the Rocket Pass.
- Maintain competitive integrity by tuning and balancing new vehicles.
- Use UEFN to implement new modes while working with technical designers and engineers.
- Attend playtests, provide feedback, and help identify practical solutions to design problems.
What you'll need#
- Experience with Unreal Engine and UEFN.
- Finished student projects or indie games that show you understand the full development cycle.
- A history of contributing code to a completed project.
- Genuine interest in competitive, skill-based games and esports.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to accept feedback on assigned tasks.

- Term: Rolling start dates beginning in 2027.
