About the role#
The Communications Externship at Fifth Third Bank offers an opportunity to gain professional experience within the financial services industry. During this summer program, you will integrate into the organization, work on team initiatives, and manage independent projects. You will also participate in self-learning and coursework to expand your professional knowledge.
What you'll do#
- Complete assignments and projects as directed by leadership.
- Use project management skills to track and report on your progress.
- Build a professional network within your assigned division and across the bank.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues using strong verbal and written skills.
- Follow established safety procedures and bank policies.
What you'll need#
- You must be a rising Sophomore or Junior enrolled in an accredited degree program.
- Preferred majors include Communications, Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or Political Science.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to multitask in a team environment.
- Previous externship or co-op experience is preferred.

- This is a full-time, paid position located in Cincinnati, Ohio.
- The term takes place during Summer 2027.
