About the role#
The Digital Team at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies is looking for an intern to support our digital communications and social media efforts. This role is open for the Fall 2026 term. We offer both remote and hybrid work options for this position.
What you'll do#
- Draft captions for our social media accounts.
- Clip and edit short-form videos for platforms like Reels and Shorts.
- Build and publish graphics and carousels.
- Assist with the daily management of our social media channels.
What you'll need#
- A GPA of at least 3.2 on a 4.0 scale.
- Ability to commit to at least 22 hours per week.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- Relevant coursework in fields such as Marketing, Communications, Journalism, International Relations, Political Science, Computer Science, Digital Design, or other STEM areas.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
- Experience with Instagram, X, LinkedIn, and YouTube content formats is strongly preferred.
- Basic skills in Canva, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Premiere are preferred.
- An interest in national security and international affairs is a plus.
