    About the role#

    The International Organizations Program at FDD is looking for a part-time intern for the Fall 2026 term. You will work alongside scholars and experts to support research on foreign policy, international law, and the United Nations. This role offers the opportunity to develop analytical skills through direct collaboration with our research staff.

    What you'll do#

    • Conduct research for the International Organizations Program.
    • Investigate how U.S. adversaries co-opt specific international institutions.
    • Study arms control and lawfare.
    • Analyze the funding, management, operations, and developments of specific international organizations.
    • Participate in a speaker series featuring senior staff members.

    What you'll need#

    • A minimum 3.2 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
    • Completed coursework in International Relations, Security Studies, History, Communications, Journalism, International Economics, Political Science, Computer Science, or a STEM field.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and basic Excel skills.
    • Ability to commit to a minimum of 22 hours per week.
    • Eligibility to work in the United States.

    Location & details#

    • This is a paid, part-time internship.
    • Work can be performed in a hybrid or remote capacity.
    • FDD is located in Washington, DC.
