    About the role#

    George J. Igel & Co., Inc. is seeking a Project Intern to support our project management teams. This role provides hands-on experience in construction management through documentation, quantity tracking, and administrative support for subcontracts and purchase orders. You will work 40 to 45 hours per week, typically from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

    What you'll do#

    • Track project quantities and pay items.
    • Collect, organize, and maintain project documents.
    • Administer subcontracts and purchase orders.
    • Submit and log submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs.
    • Maintain and update project plans.
    • Communicate production rates and crew makeup.
    • Propose priced changes and track extra work items.
    • Submit closeout documentation.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a two or four-year undergraduate degree program, specifically in Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Architecture, or Environmental Engineering.
    • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Effective written and oral communication skills.
    • You must be at least 18 years old.
    • A valid Motor Vehicle Record that meets company insurance requirements.
    • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

    Location & details#

    • This is an on-site, full-time, paid internship.
    • The primary location is Columbus, Ohio, with travel required to various job sites.
    • This position is open on a rolling basis.
