About the role#
This summer internship offers the opportunity to contribute to Kite's process development efforts in vector process design. You will focus on understanding the biophysical properties of vector particles and identifying controllable variables within process steps. This role moves beyond basic troubleshooting to build a technical foundation for interpreting particle distribution and its impact on product quality.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the execution of fill and finish process development experiments.
- Collect, analyze, and summarize experimental data using scientific and statistical tools.
- Support investigations into process performance, yield, and stability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Process Development, Analytical Development, Manufacturing, and Quality.
- Contribute to technical reports, presentations, and study documentation.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records while following GMP and safety practices.
- Present your findings at the conclusion of the internship.
What you'll need#
- Current full-time enrollment in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, MBA, JD, or PhD program in Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
- Continued full-time enrollment in the Fall semester following the internship.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8.
- Ability to commit to a full-time, 10 to 12-week internship between May and August.
- Independent authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Commitment to inclusion and diversity with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
