About the role#
This summer internship focuses on the electrical distribution systems at the Essex Junction manufacturing site. You will support projects related to energy efficiency, system optimization, and infrastructure reliability. This role involves technical analysis, data management, and collaboration with engineering teams to improve electrical performance.
What you'll do#
- Support strategic initiatives for energy efficiency and electrical system optimization.
- Improve data collection, accuracy, and utilization for site electrical metering and energy consumption.
- Standardize data collection methods for electrical equipment performance, testing, and life-cycle analysis.
- Analyze and evaluate options to improve electrical system monitoring and reporting.
- Participate in engineering design activities for electrical systems.
- Develop system metrics and reporting tools to support continuous improvement.
- Create procedures and training materials for technicians and system users.
- Assist with project planning and documentation while maintaining safety and compliance standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering degree program.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
- Availability to work at least 40 hours per week.
- Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience with project management.
- Prior internship or co-op experience in a related field is preferred.
