About the role#
This position offers summer employment for students interested in highway and bridge maintenance. You will gain practical experience while working with technical professionals on the provincial road network. This is a full-time role based in Chezzetcook for the summer of 2026.
What you'll do#
- Assist with highway construction and maintenance tasks.
- Perform manual brush cutting and traffic control.
- Install culverts, guardrails, and perform road surface repairs.
- Maintain buildings and the surrounding yard.
- Collaborate with staff on various projects.
- Paint lines and trucks, and pick up litter.
What you'll need#
- You must be a high school student at least 16 years of age.
- You should be returning to school in the fall.
- A valid Class 5 driver license is preferred.
- You are a team player with a keen interest in highway construction.
- You must demonstrate safety awareness and sound judgment.
