About the role#
Graco is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Intern for the summer of 2027. This role is based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and requires on-site work. You will support our machining and assembly operations while gaining hands-on experience in a production environment.
What you'll do#
- Perform engineering duties for machining and assembly operations.
- Plan and execute requirements for the business unit.
- Troubleshoot issues related to quality, efficiency, and safety.
- Recommend and implement improvements to manufacturing processes.
- Fabricate fixtures on a mill or build benches and equipment.
- Analyze production standards and operation layouts.
- Update and document the manufacturing facility layout.
- Collaborate with engineering staff and factory floor personnel.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- A strong desire to work in a hands-on environment.
- Good mechanical aptitude and the initiative to learn industry requirements.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Word and MS Excel.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred.
- Experience with 3D modeling software such as Creo or Solidworks is beneficial.
- Experience working on a mill is helpful.

- Term: Summer 2027 (May to August).
- Employment: Full-time, paid internship.
