About the role#
As an Exploring Agriculture Agronomy Operations Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in agronomy field and operations at AgVantage FS. This role is designed to help you build a foundation in the agriculture industry and prepare for a future career. You will work under the direction of location management during the Winter or Summer of 2027. This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship.
What you'll do#
- Assist with facility and equipment maintenance and repair.
- Operate field research and crop monitoring equipment and technology for scouting.
- Apply crop nutrition and crop protection products.
- Help with ordering, receiving, and inventory control.
- Visit FS locations and customers to build professional relationships.
- Participate in all Exploring Agriculture Internship Program activities, including a required orientation meeting in Bloomington, IL, on May 17-18, 2027.
- Complete weekly activity reports and work on an operational project to improve business efficiencies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree or certification program at a community college, technical college, or university.
- Good academic standing at the start of the internship.
- A valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to obtain a CDL and a commercial applicator's license.
- Physical ability to lift up to 70 pounds, work at heights, and work in varying weather conditions.
- Willingness to travel, including occasional overnight trips.

- Location: Hudson, Iowa.
- Term: Winter 2027 or Summer 2027 (minimum 9-10 weeks).
- This position does not offer visa sponsorship.
