About the role#
As an IT Innovation Intern, you will join our internal innovation team for the Summer of 2027. You will research, analyze, and develop business solutions using emerging technologies, including agentic AI. This role focuses on applying new tech to solve real challenges across the GROWMARK and FS System, advancing our corporate strategic goals.
What you'll do#
- Choose and execute a project with genuine business impact.
- Explore emerging technologies to determine how they solve specific problems.
- Build and test prototypes, tools, or proofs of concept.
- Crunch data and turn findings into actionable recommendations.
- Partner with team members and stakeholders to scope and shape your project.
- Present your work and outcomes to leadership and business stakeholders.
- Participate in all internship program activities, including mentoring and professional development.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing an IT-related degree, such as Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Computer Engineering, at a four-year university.
- Current standing of at least a second semester junior or first semester senior.
- Experience with programming languages like Java, C#, Python, SQL, JavaScript, TypeScript, or NodeJS.
- Familiarity with mobile development frameworks like React Native.
- Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to travel independently and stay overnight when necessary.

- Location: Bloomington, Illinois.
- Term: Summer 2027 (minimum 12 weeks).
- Modality: On-site.
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- Required events: Orientation (May 24-25, 2027), Mid-Summer Meeting (June 28-30, 2027), and Conclusion Meeting (August 11-12, 2027).
