About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern at Guthrie, you will perform professional pharmacy functions under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist. This per diem role involves supporting the department in accordance with State Board of Pharmacy regulations. You will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of patient care and pharmacy operations.
What you'll do#
- Process orders and conduct clinical evaluations.
- Manage inventory control and drug distribution.
- Provide drug information and assist with IV compounding.
- Perform duties as a pharmacy technician or inventory control clerk when required.
- Interpret patient data to identify specific care requirements.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulatory standards.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy.
- Completion of at least 2 years of General Education Requirements.
- A current NY State Pharmacy Intern License in good standing.
- Prior experience in institutional pharmacy is preferred.
- Ability to demonstrate growth in knowledge regarding patient care and pharmaceutical needs.

- Schedule: Per diem.
- Pay: $17.00 to $22.82 per hour.
