About the role#
As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will join our Building Engineering Services Group in Orlando. You will work under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager to support the design of critical infrastructure. This is a paid, full-time position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist the team with electrical site designs, lighting and receptacle floor plans, and one-line diagrams.
- Help prepare electrical details, schedules, and specifications.
- Support the selection of electrical equipment.
- Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures to your assigned tasks.
- Perform other duties as needed to support the project team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills with an eye for detail.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- A commitment to our employee-owned culture.
- Interest in electrical engineering related to building design and construction.
- Preference is given to local candidates and those who have completed at least two years of their degree with a 3.0 or higher GPA.
- Demonstrated knowledge of software packages relevant to your field of study.
