About the role#
As a Transportation Intern, you will join our Transportation Business Group to support planning, design, and infrastructure projects. You will work alongside engineers and multidisciplinary teams to help shape systems that move people and goods. This position is based in Tampa, Florida, for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Support engineers and project teams on transportation planning, design, and infrastructure projects.
- Assist with roadway, bridge, aviation, transit, and multimodal transportation assignments.
- Participate in field visits, project meetings, and technical analyses.
- Use engineering software, GIS tools, and industry technologies to solve challenges.
- Collaborate with professionals across multiple disciplines in a team environment.
- Contribute ideas that improve project delivery and transportation outcomes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate Civil Engineering program.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills.
- A commitment to participating in our employee-owned culture.
- Preference for candidates who have completed at least 2 years of their degree with a 3.0+ GPA.
- Experience with CAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, or GIS is a plus.
