    About the role#

    As a Solid Waste Intern, you will join our team to work on solid waste and waste-to-energy projects. You will help shape infrastructure and environmental stewardship while developing technical skills. This position is based in Tampa, Florida, for the Summer 2027 term.

    What you'll do#

    • Support engineers and project teams on transportation planning, design, and infrastructure projects.
    • Assist with solid waste and waste-to-energy assignments.
    • Participate in field visits, project meetings, and technical analyses.
    • Use engineering software, GIS tools, and industry technologies to solve real-world challenges.
    • Collaborate with professionals across multiple disciplines.
    • Contribute ideas to improve project delivery and transportation outcomes.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program, specifically in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering.
    • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
    • Attention to detail and basic Microsoft Office skills.
    • A commitment to participating in our employee-owned culture.
    • We prefer candidates who have completed at least 2 years of their degree with a 3.0+ GPA.
    • Experience with CAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, or GIS is a plus.
    • Preference is given to local candidates.

    • This is a paid, full-time internship.
