About the role#
As an ICT and Security Intern, you will gain hands-on experience by applying engineering techniques to design telecommunications networks and electronic security systems. You will work within the Building Engineering Services Group, contributing to projects that support the digital age and modern building infrastructure. You will work alongside senior engineers and BIM managers to develop your technical skills in a collaborative, employee-owned environment.
What you'll do#
- Use BIM programs to design telecommunications networks, electronic security systems, and audio visual systems.
- Assist senior engineers with research and design for IP networking, video management, and access control systems.
- Engage with company leaders and recent graduates through mentoring and professional development programs.
- Perform additional duties as required to support project goals.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and communication skills.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- A commitment to participating in an employee-owned culture.
- Preference is given to candidates who have completed at least two years of their degree with a 3.0+ GPA.
- Preference is given to those pursuing a degree in Electrical or Network Engineering.
- Experience with Revit, Autodesk software, or Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
- Local candidates are preferred.
