    About the role#

    This paid internship at WMUR-TV provides students with direct exposure to daily technical operations within a television station. You will work alongside permanent staff members to gain practical experience in engineering and production. The program is designed to offer a balance of broad training across multiple technical departments followed by focused time in areas that align with your specific interests.

    What you'll do#

    • Operate equipment under the supervision of experienced technical staff.
    • Train in production roles such as floor directing, wireless camera operation, prompter, editing, and directing.
    • Learn about air operations in master control.
    • Assist with the installation, repair, and support of broadcast systems.
    • Gain exposure to IT infrastructure within a broadcast environment.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment as a college student in a related field such as Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Computer Engineering, or Media Studies.
    • A demonstrated interest or experience in television production and engineering.
    • Strong communication and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work up to 24 hours per week.

    • Location: Manchester, New Hampshire.
    • Term: Summer 2026.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Schedule: Hours vary, but your assigned days will remain consistent throughout the program.
