    About the role#

    WMUR-TV offers a paid internship within the Engineering and Production department. You will work alongside permanent technical staff to gain experience in the daily technical operations of a television station. This program focuses on hands-on training and provides exposure to various broadcast systems.

    What you'll do#

    • Operate production and engineering equipment under the supervision of staff members.
    • Train in production roles such as floor directing, wireless camera operation, prompter, editing, and directing.
    • Learn about air operations in master control.
    • Assist with the installation, repair, and support of broadcast systems and IT infrastructure.
    • Participate in scheduled training sessions to build technical skills.
    • Coordinate your availability and schedule with internship coordinators.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a college program for engineering or a production-related field.
    • Understanding of basic technical operations in a television environment.
    • Ability to operate equipment while under supervision.
    • Willingness to learn and gain hands-on experience.
    • Good communication skills.

    • Location: Manchester, New Hampshire.
    • Term: Summer 2026.
    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • Schedule: Up to 24 hours per week, with specific hours varying based on mutual availability.
