    About the role#

    The Quality Intern will support our manufacturing operations through continuous improvement initiatives and Quality Management System (QMS) activities. This role offers hands-on experience in process improvement, problem solving, and calibration management while contributing to departmental goals. This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship.

    What you'll do#

    • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop and improve QMS processes.
    • Lead the implementation and management of the calibration system within Limble to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and NLM standards.
    • Observe and document production processes to identify improvement opportunities.
    • Collect data to support problem solving and new process development.
    • Provide technical assistance for the maintenance and execution of the quality management system.
    • Assist with developing fabrication machine process capabilities using statistical analysis.
    • Provide engineering support to resolve quality issues using the PDCA cycle.
    • Analyze top quality issues to engineer solutions aimed at zero defects.
    • Prepare reports on quality performance including FPY, scrap, rework, and warranty claims.
    • Assist with the part qualification process for purchased and fabricated components.
    • Adhere to all safety procedures, policies, and SAFESTART concepts.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, or agriculture engineering, industrial technology, or a related field.
    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret manufacturing and engineering documents.
    • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, including fabrication, weld, and assembly.
    • Strong analytical skills and a team-oriented mindset.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.
    • Ability to decompose costs to identify root causes and present findings clearly.
    • Capacity to make informed assumptions backed by data.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Formalized training or experience in design for manufacturing is preferred.
