About the role#
HII Technical Solutions is hiring Engineering Interns to support our Warfare Systems business group. This role provides students with real-world experience through hands-on projects while working alongside engineers and scientists. You will assist our team in solving technical challenges related to complex RF systems and other defense technologies.
What you'll do#
- Support the Engineering team with functions in electronics, electrical, mechanical, civil, naval, or chemical specialties.
- Assist with troubleshooting technical issues.
- Provide general technical support to the team.
- Analyze performance and develop subsystem-level models and characterizations of radar components, such as antennas, transmitters, receivers, signal processors, and trackers.
- Collaborate with engineers and scientists on complex RF system projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of basic principles in electrical, computer, or mechanical engineering, or embedded systems.
- Interest in assembling and disassembling hardware systems and associated components.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
