About the role#
Hoffman Construction Company is seeking a Project Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Boise, Idaho. You will work directly on an active jobsite for 40 hours per week, assisting project teams with construction operations from preconstruction through closeout.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate site logistics, subcontractors, vendors, and field inspections.
- Interpret blueprint construction drawings and technical manuals.
- Write and publish meeting minutes, schedule graphs, and activity checklists.
- Perform field surveying and layout of control lines and benchmarks.
- Receive and distribute requests for information and change documents.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or an equivalent degree.
- Familiarity with the CSI specification system for construction.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and Bluebeam.
- Experience with critical path method scheduling software and AutoCAD.
