About the role#
Hoffman Construction Company is seeking a Quality Coordinator Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Boise, Idaho. You will work alongside the quality team to support field reviews, coordinate inspections, and ensure project documentation meets technical standards.
What you'll do#
- Interpret design and construction documents, technical manuals, and quantify materials.
- Write and publish meeting minutes.
- Review and process quality plans and trade certifications to verify compliance.
- Use model viewer software to verify field installations and prepare areas for upcoming work.
- Assist the document controller with the organization and distribution of project control software.
- Coordinate pre-installation meetings and assist with Quality Assurance and Quality Control field reviews.
What you'll need#
- High School diploma or GED.
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
- Experience with Windows and Microsoft Office 365.
- Training in design and construction document reading, design specifications, and survey theory.
- Familiarity with the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) specification system.
- Ability to lift or manipulate 50 pounds and work in various physical conditions, including climbing ladders or working in confined spaces.
