    About the role#

    This summer internship offers students the chance to gain professional experience within the Hubbell manufacturing environment. You will focus on improving environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs. This role involves working directly with operations and EHS teams to strengthen workplace safety and training effectiveness.

    What you'll do#

    • Develop standardized operating procedure (SOP) documentation.
    • Integrate job safety analyses, work instructions, and risk assessments into resources for employees.
    • Create machine-specific reference guides and training materials.
    • Enhance onboarding and cross-training processes.
    • Review EHS programs to ensure compliance with safety requirements, including Lockout/Tagout.
    • Assist with process improvement and manage multiple projects with overlapping tasks.
    • Present your project outcomes to the local management team at the end of the program.

    What you'll need#

    • Full-time enrollment in an accredited college or university during the program (May-August 2027).
    • Pursuit of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field.
    • A minimum 3.0 GPA.
    • Familiarity with relevant software and systems.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office products is preferred.

    • Location: Winsted, Connecticut.
    • Term: Summer 2027.
    • Modality: This is an on-site, full-time position.
    • Compensation: $22.50 to $29.00 per hour, depending on academic standing and graduation date.
