About the role#
This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to work within a manufacturing operation. You will work with experienced professionals to learn how environmental, health, and safety practices support our people and operations. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Port Angeles, Washington, for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Support environmental, health, and safety initiatives.
- Assist with inspections, audits, hazard assessments, and compliance activities.
- Review and analyze safety or environmental data to identify trends.
- Help develop or update procedures, training materials, and EHS documentation.
- Contribute to project work by reviewing requirements, identifying gaps, and recommending practical solutions.
- Collaborate with employees and leaders across the site.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a post-secondary program related to Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or Public Health.
- A commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Comfort analyzing information and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Clear communication skills.
- The ability to organize findings into practical documentation or recommendations.
- A detail-oriented and curious mindset.
- Willingness to work in both office and industrial environments.
