About the role#
The Economic Empowerment Intern supports our programs in Louisville. You will work directly with our team to help clients access essential services. This role requires a high level of discretion, as you will handle sensitive client information daily.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the daily operations of economic empowerment programs.
- Provide direct support to clients as they navigate our services.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all client records and interactions.
- Participate in required training sessions to understand our service agreements and programming.
- Collaborate with team members on various projects to support our local mission.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student, or graduation within the last 12 months.
- U.S. citizenship or active, compliant work authorization status.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with complete confidentiality.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and a willingness to learn new data entry software.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Previous experience with vulnerable populations or social services is preferred, but not required.

- Location: Louisville, Kentucky.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Modality: On-site.
- Commitment: Full-time availability during business hours (Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM) is preferred.
- Compensation: This is an unpaid internship. Mileage reimbursement is provided for personal vehicle use during client services.
