About the role#
The Development and Grants Intern works within the Resource Development Department to secure resources for our clients. This role supports the team in connecting with the community to obtain monetary, in-kind, and volunteer support. You will report to the Resource Development VISTA and assist with various fundraising and outreach tasks.
What you'll do#
- Research potential grant and community donation opportunities.
- Assist the Grants Management Specialist with database accuracy and data maintenance.
- Analyze program data to support grant writing and research.
- Coordinate with finance and management teams to develop grant applications.
- Draft and submit donation applications to secure program resources.
- Help with community engagement, event planning, and external communications.
- Represent the organization at networking functions and community events.
- Participate in staff meetings and development programs.

- Strong writing and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and organizational ability.
- Creativity and the initiative to complete projects independently.

Location & details#
- This is a hybrid position based in Tallahassee, Florida.
- This internship is unpaid.
- The role requires a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week for at least three months.
- Preferred majors include Political Science, International Relations, Business Administration, Sociology, Communications, and Human Resources.
