    About the role#

    This internship offers a graduate or undergraduate student the chance to learn grant management operations within a large international organization. You will work with the Grants Coordinator to help maximize the reach of IRC programming in Atlanta. This is an unpaid, in-person position that requires a commitment of 15 hours per week for at least 3 consecutive months.

    What you'll do#

    • Work with the Grants Coordinator to review donor prospecting strategies.
    • Grow a database for identified opportunities and research pre-award grant options.
    • Keep the grants calendar updated.
    • Attend relevant webinars and information sessions.
    • Draft grant proposals for review by the Grants Coordinator or Development Director.
    • Support other project areas and submit your intern hours on the volunteer dashboard.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment as a graduate or undergraduate student in a field such as International Relations, Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Health, or Sociology.
    • Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills.
    • Proficiency in basic Microsoft Excel functions.
    • English fluency.
    • Ability to pass a background check and legal authorization to work in the United States.
    • You must be at least 18 years old.

    Location & details#

    • This role is based in Atlanta, Georgia.
    • The internship begins the week of September 8, 2026.
