About the role#
This internship offers a graduate or undergraduate student the chance to learn grant management operations within a large international organization. You will work with the Grants Coordinator to help maximize the reach of IRC programming in Atlanta. This is an unpaid, in-person position that requires a commitment of 15 hours per week for at least 3 consecutive months.
What you'll do#
- Work with the Grants Coordinator to review donor prospecting strategies.
- Grow a database for identified opportunities and research pre-award grant options.
- Keep the grants calendar updated.
- Attend relevant webinars and information sessions.
- Draft grant proposals for review by the Grants Coordinator or Development Director.
- Support other project areas and submit your intern hours on the volunteer dashboard.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a graduate or undergraduate student in a field such as International Relations, Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Health, or Sociology.
- Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in basic Microsoft Excel functions.
- English fluency.
- Ability to pass a background check and legal authorization to work in the United States.
- You must be at least 18 years old.
