About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in industrial electrical design and construction. You will work with experienced professionals on real projects to develop your technical skills and understanding of business operations, project management, and safety. This role includes a variety of discipline emphases such as power systems, controls design, instrumentation, and field work.
What you'll do#
- Collect and review data to define project scopes.
- Record design decisions in internal software to support drawings and equipment specifications.
- Create electrical drawings using 2D and 3D drafting software.
- Communicate project updates to team members and clients using various software tools.
- Travel to job sites and work alongside craft and manufacturing teams to complete projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an engineering degree program, or a drafting degree program at a technical college.
- 0-4 years of electrical experience or education.
- Knowledge of, or interest in, manufacturing, industrial, and electrical systems.
- Ability to collaborate with superintendents, engineers, estimators, and customers.
- Strong verbal, written, and listening communication skills.

- This is a paid, full-time, remote internship with rolling start dates.
- Travel to job sites is required and varies based on business needs.
