About the role#
This internship focuses on learning the fundamentals of college campus ministry. It is designed for students currently enrolled in a four-year or community college. The role provides an opportunity to grow in spiritual understanding, biblical knowledge, and ministry skills while discerning a call to future service.
What you'll do#
- Participate with the campus ministry team to cast spiritual vision and set direction.
- Contribute to the team's plans for spiritual growth and transformation.
- Teach students how to study, love, and apply Scripture to their daily lives.
- Promote the mission on campus by seeking opportunities to demonstrate the Gospel.
- Help guide chapters in developing strategic thinking regarding witness to the university.
- Model and assist students and faculty in growing their love for people of every culture and ethnicity.
- Encourage a prayerful lifestyle among students.
- Engage with training and supervision provided by your staff director or ministry trainer.
- Serve as an ambassador of the organization to churches and ministry partners.
What you'll need#
- You are a follower of Jesus Christ.
- You can annually affirm the organization's Statement of Agreement.
- You have a developing passion for evangelism.
- You demonstrate leadership qualities such as initiative, professionalism, teamwork, and cross-cultural competence.
- You possess self-awareness, strong communication skills, and an eagerness to learn.
- Academic background in fields such as Psychology, Communications, Political Science, Sociology, or Philosophy is relevant to this work.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site in Michigan.
- The role is paid, though compensation is funded through personal fundraising. Your salary depends on your ability to secure a donor team to cover the cost of the position.
- Benefits include a 403(b) retirement plan with matching, health, dental, and vision insurance, and paid time off. Eligibility depends on hours worked.
